For some inexplicable reason this took me four days to get through, perhaps related to the small imp sitting on my bedside and encouraging me to get distracted by everything other than it. He is dead now. I digress. Fun tale — interesting, foreign (literally) take on the Foundation's academic side that you have such a flair for. My only real concern is superficial — some of these monologues could really, really do with breaking up into smaller portions, rather than forming a visual Nutraloaf. I get the response that it's one person speaking continually with no interruptions but also fuck da rulez when they get in the face of reader experience. Or maybe it's just me.

Mirroring Rounder's thoughts about the academia stuff, while also adding my two cents that this is a really nice change of setting that puts a new fresh coat of paint on the series — not to say the rest of the story isn't fresh, of course (you know what I mean).
