i first got into scp itself back in 2016 but i hadn't joined the site till two years ago and i joined because i saw all the story's on youtube
Same I saw the site back in like 2018 and joined after I saw the videos on YouTube.
Definitely depression-binges on SCPs. They're endlessly entertaining, and my favorites have always been the Plague Doctor, the ROM-SCP that taught children (Miss Joy? Miss Jay?), and others that seem human somehow.
Huge fans of those. Love well-written, mild-mannered individuals :D
SAME!
I got into the Foundation mostly through the SCP Explained YouTube channel. The way in which they told some of the stories and explained the SCP's along with some hypotheticals got me hooked, and now, here I am.

I wanted to take part of the 2017 edition of March Madness, I actually got 2 of my nominations added up to the brachets. Unfortunatelly, the tournament never got finished, but it was still a fun thing while it lasted.
It started as me believing I could find an image for a horror story I'm writing on here and a youtube channel talking about an incident that happened to this website a while ago. I couldn't find an image(I just got a friend who is talented illistrator to do it instead), but found a huge amount of interesting articles instead. This website seemed to combine all my favorite things to do, so I have become a ghost that huants the forums, articles, and private messaging.
Just a high schooler who thinks he is good at writing. Likes working on a lot of stuff, ranging from writing for the Backrooms Wiki, to writing for the Backrooms Wiki, to writing for the Backrooms Wiki. Did I get everything? Oh yeah, I left off writing for the Backrooms Wiki ~ Pen.
Watching people play Containment Breach back in the 2010s on youtube (Markiplier mostly, iirc)
Then forgot it existed for a while.
And then one time when I was streaming the entiety of the foundation followed me -
- which reminded of the SCP Foundation existing, which sent me on a trail through some of the old games and eventually the wiki itself, followed by me sitting around the forum and even writing my own (no matter how terrible) scps. I even met my friend group through a no-rules SCP Secret Lab server (that no longer exists). Good times!
im very cool.
not really.
I had heard about it a lot, but the ultimate thing that got me hooked was lord bung’s series, confinement. That made me really interested in the SCP foundation.
My friend was more involved in the SCP Foundation, but he introduced it to me. I was pretty intrigued by it regardless, and I did see some videos about it on YouTube. So here I am.
I'd had a small interest in SCP for a while, but listening to a Podcast on Spotify called SCP Archives is what really started to get me into it.
It goes a long while back and my memory isn't that great in general, but I think I can trace it back to Markiplier's SCP: Containment Breach videos. Since then I've had waxing and waning fixations on the SCP Foundation. I lurked and spooked my young self (picture a 15-year-old me coming across SCP-2718, still not entirely understanding that this is just a creative writing community) for what must've been a year or two before finally joining the wiki as a member about two years ago.
Video game devs.
I used to play an online game way back (I forgot what the name was), and the loading screen had a bunch of random references to different games, fandoms, etc.
Three googles later, I found this site and was hooked.
