Charming slice-of-life article. I quite enjoyed it. I personally feel the lack of any big reveal was a good decision; I much prefer the cozy feeling of two researchers conjecturing with one another about a simple anomaly. Well done.
Thank you so much for reading my 7K entry!
In another universe, in another timeline, it probably looked very different.
I had planned to spend the month of July pulling my ideas together and coming up with an old-school epic of a piece. And then, I found out that I had to leave my job and move half way across the country, so I ended up mostly doing that instead :')
By the time I'd moved into my temporary transition abode - yesterday - I ended up with about 7 hours to pull something together.
I hope the result is to your liking.

The dialogue is very smooth, and the characters shine through easily. This is a cute idea, the descriptions of the "personalities" of the dice were lovely. Very enjoyable read!
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
I was originally going to do something much more elaborate, but with a few extra challenges popping up irl I ended up having to squeeze everything into a few hours. I'm glad the idea still had legs.
Heya!
Oh, yes! Very much so! Pathfinder first edition was
I'M FUCKING ROLLING 🤣
I thought you'd like that one. Maybe Gamers Against Weed have started binge watching Critical Role. Who knows?
This broke my immersion but I don't care. I love this!
So, why do these entities have to
This goes on too long.
The ending is very quaint!
Overall this is a very intriguing article!

This is cute, fun and fascinating. Easy upvote. I’m glad you were able to get an entry done in time, especially one of this quality!
Thank you so much, that's such a kind thing to say <3
When it came down to the last half of the last day, I did consider just skipping it. But I've done an entry for every K since 4000, and comments like this really make me glad I got something in.
- The sections of the article before the Interview Log do a good job of setting up the dialogue between Dr. Singh and Dr. Urvale. Specifically, the “Test Results – Experiment 7000-D20-A190” and “Categories of SCP-7000 Affected Dice” sections present just enough “evidence” to keep the existence of SCP-7000 ambiguous.
- The subtle characterizations of the two researchers (one who is a DnD fanatic and one who simply wants to perform some groundbreaking research) and the camaraderie you can feel between them is superbly written.
- It’s a nice touch how the mystery surrounding SCP-7000’s status as an actual anomalous phenomenon isn’t definitively answered in the end.

The interview log really sold this one to me. The concept behind the article isn't the most original out there, but the fact that it doesn't go into places it has no business to and factually treats the anomaly as this weird ass probability thing that is casually experienced on by the Foundation makes it a really tranquil, enjoyable story.
this article does what it sets out to do well. the fialouge is well paced and funny too. over all this article was enjoyable. short and sweet a refreshing length in this contest.

A really simple article that really hits all the marks when it comes to both characterization and word economy. The concept is pretty simple, and the article lets the reader know that really well. It explores it in its entirety, and then the dialogue jumps in and helps understand the why this is even an anomaly. Really liked that.
You knew what you were going for, and you accomplished that real well. +1~
