Heiden, the logs for this were… enlightening. you're a ruthless guy, aren't you? remind me not to piss you off.
I like #3 too, but I would like to see more information given on him, and possibly removal from D-Class or promotion to Level-0. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth cause I don't like seeing the Foundation commit petty revenge.
How about 'Due to evidence regarding D-number's innocence provided by the experiment, D-number is being evaluated for promotion to level 0 personell or treatment to a class-A amnesiac and release in the general vicinity of [REDACTED].'
With the established existence of Protocol Twelve (conscription of non-prison populations in cases of Class D shortages or emergency situations), I see no reason to humanize what is essentially a monolithically powerful and cruel organization. (IN MY VIEW:) The Foundation isn't a spiteful organization, they are simply without compassion. This man's as good as dead - a major SCP outbreak ruined his home, he's presumed dead already. His continued life hinges on how useful he can be to the Foundation. He is more useful as a Class D than as an agent or janitor towards an organization he almost certainly feels is responsible for the ruin of his life. Beyond this, SCP-943 proves 'innocence' according to a very specific interpretation of justice. He shot a man to death in the act of protecting himself and his property, but that agent was attempting to stop a far graver threat when he tried to commandeer the car. Is that truly just?
Just some food for thought, is all.
Number three should be given restriction to only testing safe objects.
But the foundation would never do that.
The best a D-Class (even an innocent one) can expect is a stay of execution until they are used up in an experiment somewhere. Since D-Class are not to be used with multiple SCPs, the case of D-31415 is tragic, unavoidable, and yet enlightening.
It seems to imply that the bracelet reads INTENT and not simply actions.
Further testing with innocent subjects is requested.
I like this one, but it'd be interesting to see them test it on a member of the Foundation, considering what they get up to.
Repayment of debt through D-Classing sounds cruel, even for the Foundation.
The dialoge sounds really weird, like if it was made about five years ago. I would definitely advise to rewrite that one. All in all, the second dialoge was goddamn disturbing. As for the SCP, it'a novote.
EDIT: Oh wait, it was. :)
Interesting object, this one, it actually made me question the morals and judicial standards we take for granted. Grey morality FTW.
Upvoted, but now…
In all cases, the hallucinations appear to be of an event that is connected to the subject in some way. Invariably, the subject is connected in a way that makes them the aggressor, and in the induced hallucinations, the subject assumes the role of victim.
This doesn't make sense to me. So by reading this alone, the subject takes the role of victim and aggressor at the same time?
I suggest a re-wording of this part for clarity's sake.
EDIT: Just making it clear here, I understood the meaning behind it after reading the examples, but that's it, only when I read them the description made sense. Hence the request for the edit, since I'd hardly be the only one.
I know this is a really old skip, but I agree. That section in particular stood out to me in the same it did to you. It seems to say that the wearer is induced to be both victim and agressor in their hallucination. Likewise, I understood it through the experiment logs, but I feel like descriptions should be unambiguous and [more] clear.
Anyway, the scp's not bad. It's unique enough, and for some reason I like the concept of experiment "participation" quantitatively assuaging owed debts, especially having the amount docked for being uncooperative.
The biggest issue i have here is with the testing logs. The tested should NOT be resisting this process, they should already have come to terms with the fact that that they are participating with the SCP. I feel that the testing log is just not… foundation like.
However i do like the last test, and i think that it should be included but i think the others if possible should be revised.
in fact if possible i request myself to do the revision.
