I love this. This is the purest, simplest expression of the ethical dilemma that is the Foundation I have yet read.
It is also the first I have seen to imply- and I think this is exactly right- that the decision to remember the horrible things one did is a far braver and stronger thing than deciding to forget.
Some of the grammar needs work, though.

“Every” -> ever (several times)
He groans-> he groaned
O5-7 is -> O5 was
Certain degree of inhuman -> certain degree of inhumanity
Themselves -> oneself
As well as -> or
When you put dialogue attribution after a quote (“Hello,” he said) then end the quote with a comma, not a period.
As he had expected. It -> as he had expected, it
An impossibility within the foundation. -> an impossibility within the foundation for all groups.
You also ended a few sentences with no punctuation

While not really breaking any grounds for ethics committee stuff, this is a solid tale - the prose works and you build a good sense of character for the MC in a pretty short piece. The first paragraph explaining the 05s feels unnecessary given that everyone on site has a pretty solid understanding of their position in the Foundation, and you should trust your reader to know what's going on. Fun read in all though, thanks for posting this!
