I mean, it's decent, but I'm a bit surprised the article ends there; just dry speculation on 6310's biology.
Not much of a send-off, if you ask me.
I'd suggest adding an incident that alludes to a predator of 6310 having followed it into our reality, as a last dosage of intrigue to keep us thinking on it.
Other than that, there's a few nitpicky word choices that could be improved, but it's still neat, so I'm somewhat satisfied.
