This is my second attempt at an SCP article, I hope you all enjoy it. Thanks in particular to Crow-Cat, LAN 2D, abrethe does not match any existing user name, Tanhony and DarnellJermaine for all their help.

Putting the rating module at the bottom of the article and not on the top was a concious desicion, so please don't mention that there is a lack of it.

Unfortunately, we require that all content pages have a rating module at the top of the page, so I have to put one there.

dont think ive told you enough how much i like this guaire. very very clever, and i kinda wish id gotten to read for the first time alone so i would've gotten the realization on my own lol. still, was very cool to read the wip in our little book club and also now that's its finished :)

Whoa. I like this. The terse scientific language and “recovered document” had me interested before I even realized the twist. It’s fairly short but it really doesn’t need to be anything more than what it is - well done.

Body horror is a personal fav of mine, and this does a good job of using biological descriptions to instill unease in the reader

It was very cool seeing this gradually develop from an idea to a finished article. Like others have said, it's a really clever anomaly with effective clinical language. Awesome job.

The article's biggest problem is that it's telling a story that's been told a dozen times over on the wiki already — anomaly transforms non-human beings into what we know as human beings, as told from the perspective of the non-human Foundation — without any meaningful adjustments to that twist or attempts to develop it further. The story falls flat because it's all clinical build-up to an obvious twist, and I don't get any frisson from the twist because I've seen it before a dozen times.

I'm sorry, I don't think I understand what's going on here. Is the virus an infohazard that consumes all mention, memories and proof of existence that includes its victims, affecting even data on servers around the globe? I feel like that's not it, because the note wouldn't have survived, either, but three rereads in, I still can't wrap my head around the twist, here.

Pretty sure it's less of an infovirus and more of an antimemetivirus (although in this cases they function similarly).

Seems like the people working on the autopsies forget, and are incapable of perceiving, the concepts of "Heart", "Brain", "Lungs", etc, after said virus infects each organ. That's why the MRI scan of the pig "failed" to notice the "appearance" of -1 instances: it didn't fail to notice the appearance of any foreign body because there was no such appearance of any foreign bodies. It just became impossible to be perceived/conceptualized for what it originally was

The reason I believe it's, at least partially, an infovirus-virus (lol), is because of the fact that there is no information regarding the site in the Foundation's database. I don't think regular antimemes retroactively erase data. It might be both.

Good catch on the virus messing with the researchers' cognition of affected organs, I figured it was regular body horror but the Pig entry's 2 meter long "tumor" (intestine) is a pretty obvious tell, actually.
