Don't have much to say about this other than that it's quite good, it fits the format well, and that I'm glad to see more people writing goi formats.

But seriously this article is quite well written. It's written almost exactly how a Prometheus Labs page should be written.

Now, back to thinking up ideas for my own PL stuff.

I'm a little iffy on this.

The GOI format is spot on and I quite enjoy most sections of the article. I just think too much of the narrative hangs on minor technobabble that is then cited rather than explained. Don't get me wrong, I love fake references. They're the reason I finally joined the site. I just think that here they're a crutch, and one that isn't working.

It's sort of like… you've proven that there is a market and a need for this doohickey, but there isn't enough meat on the solution you're providing to hook me as a reader. That's kind of been the piece de resistence for these PL pieces. "We make egregious paratech for outlandish goals."

If the solution is "COTS phlebtonium¹", that's just not as interesting.
