I'm a little iffy on this.
The GOI format is spot on and I quite enjoy most sections of the article. I just think too much of the narrative hangs on minor technobabble that is then cited rather than explained. Don't get me wrong, I love fake references. They're the reason I finally joined the site. I just think that here they're a crutch, and one that isn't working.
It's sort of like… you've proven that there is a market and a need for this doohickey, but there isn't enough meat on the solution you're providing to hook me as a reader. That's kind of been the piece de resistence for these PL pieces. "We make egregious paratech for outlandish goals."
If the solution is "COTS phlebtonium", that's just not as interesting.
