Mildly interesting, although probably just as well that no one posted more into it as it seems like the kind of thing that leads to writers writing fiction about how awesome they are.
I wonder what will happen if we let actual musicians listen to it.
I'm glad that people aren't adding to this log any more. While it would be fun to add one (I've already got my fictional band name and chart-topping hits picked out :P ), it would degenerative into masturbatory territory really damn quick.
Giving bearhugs to the unsuspecting since 1872.
Isn't that what our whole self-policing thing is for? I'm sure yours would be great, and I'm sad that it's not on there. Anything that ends up being too cheesy/bad just gets deleted. I honestly don't understand the phobia regarding experiment logs - as long as they're monitored, I would think that they're DEFINITELY in the tone of the site. We do experiment on these things/objects, after all, there should be logs. Just my two cents.
as long as they're monitored
and therein, as they say, lies the rub.
The Experiment Log for this can serve as both nightmare retardant for the actual SCP as well as its own source of nightmare fuel. It's really up to the writers what to add.
I'd actually like to add a creepy entry to this, just to mix things up. In fact, I think I'll get on that right now…
EDIT: Done. In fact, I actually like the fact this experiment log starts out goofy then goes into dark territory: just like the original article.
I would have totally used this to write a book. And then get subsequently removed from the project.
Worth it.
and has since gotten into rap music.
Yeah, not good tone for a scientific log. This whole log has some tone problems.
I don't quite understand the last paragraph. Why wouldn't they at least allow the amnesiacs?
This so much. Seriously most of the time amnesiacs/amnestics are available upon request after an unexpectedly scarring experience.
This is an ingenious SCP. I love how it's extremely funny, but also one of the creepiest SCPs. I love Dr. Z's test log especially. It is horrifying and brutal, and he even ends up killing himself; yet he isn't disturbed in any way. Not only is it funny, but it's also showing the output of a crazy guy. I have read this 3 times, and so far it's safe to say that this my my favorite SCP. I kind of want to write my own test for fun :)
I think the log needs some cleaning up. It sounds a little too much like LOLFoundation, and not particularly good LOLFoundation either.
Hey guys. It's been a loooong while, and I return to my most successful SCP with a goal to revise the experiment log.
When I originally envisioned this page, it was going to be a more light-hearted side of SCP-624, but what really makes this SCP successful, as you can see with my later edits of the original test subject and the audiobook lady, the real fun (and horror) of this SCP comes from the results it gets from people who don't listen to music.
So, I'm thinking of deleting or altering the more comical logs and replacing them with specifically horror-only or weird-only entries. Let me know what you guys think. I'll begin revisions in a few days. Anyone else is welcome to jump in on this, too: after all, none of the SCPs I ever made ever got off the ground without everyone else's help.
I am pure Golden Oldies…1955-1974 are the two best decades in music history.
Since I was born in 1958, I wonder what my biography would be.
