Department of Unreality has been hit and miss for me so far, but this one definitely hits. The idea of an anti-nexus as a place so non anomalous that it circles back around to being anomalous works great, and delivers some interesting implications about the nature of humanity. +1
This is so clean, tidy, and precise, which is impressive given the scatter-shot style delivery of the actual description. I like the idea of an anomalous exclusion zone warranting its own anomalous status, but I'm not sure how to reconcile that it repels anomalies with the observation that there are some truly anomalous things about the area, such as the lack of documentation, or the populace who don't leave much trace of anything. Still, very enjoyable.
I think this is my favorite Unreality article. I really can’t begin to say how good this is.

I like this. The way you describe the activities without hinting at them was really interesting, and just this whole concept of seeing something simple that doesn't 'wants' to be seen worked really well here.

Echoing Sergeimosin here. I love the idea of an anti-nexus, and this really hits the DoU's liminal vibe. Listening to people chatting around or having a normal barbecue, then… You only hear the wind whisper. It's pretty offputting.
That being said, I don't like how quickly the anti-nexus idea is revealed and I feel like the article could've benefitted from simply not dropping it. It's good, don't get me wrong, but "this place exists and doesn't exist at the same time" could've been way, way better imo if you just didn't explain it. It would've given me more time to focus on what is actually going on and the disquieting nature of the anomaly.
Otherwise, this is a fun, short read and I would definitely recommend it.
I don't understand the idea behind having multiple descriptions. Surely even if the SCP is pending, all of the anomalous properties would be documented in one section, or maybe something is going over my head?
Overall, very neat. +1
This is definitely my favorite kind of SCP. Short, to the point, and never described enough that you really understand it. Too many skips go way too far in over-explaining to the point where the item in question no longer feels like an anomaly, but this keeps everything vague while leaving just enough implications to keep the brain gears turning.
For example, the fact that this "anti-nexus" is theorized to repel anomalies, but seems to actively repel humans more than anything else? That definitely means something. I don't know what it means exactly, but it probably isn't good.

we are the anomaly, ducks are the only constant in the universe
