The title is a reference to the song Providence by Poor Man's Poison. The definition of providence felt fitting for what's happening to Elias.
The characterization of Iris, Skit and Robby are based on what exists of Wills and Ways and what I remember of DrChandra's use of Iris in Dread & Circuses
