So this is an interesting thing.

On my Patreon (which you can find at 'ihpwritesskips'), there's a $15 tier where you can pitch me an idea for an article. Nykacolaquantum does not match any existing user name wanted to see my take on the Department of Abnormalities, and hopefully, I delivered on it.

Thanks to Ralliston and nomoretears for taking a look at this before I posted, and thanks to all my patrons: Athenodora, TheeSherm, Léo Guezellou, and Nykacolaquantum. Thanks to Azamo does not match any existing user name for editing the image of the stacks to look more dour.

I wasn't sure if I managed to land the tone well; the last proper DOA thing I liked was the Holders one, and I've kind of fallen off of it since. This was a bit of a challenge, but people seem to think it's gravy.

First off: the aesthetic aspect is absolutely perfect. The color scheme, the choice of images, they create a sense of forgotten gothic architecture that boosts this thing to new heights. The concept is really excellent as well. +1

You'll have to thank EstrellaYoshte for that; this is just the default color scheme for Penumbra. I tried a few different iterations, but all colors except for the default blended into the background.

I realize it's a fairly dense canon, but I think that you'll enjoy it. I did a canon primer on the SCPD Subreddit that gives a few good jumping-on points.
