This is intended to be an introductory film to the Telecommunications Monitoring Office for the 2022 Department Contest. Another huge thanks to Greg Beastrom for his voice-over talents in this video, he blew it out of the park once again.

All images used comply with the SCP Wiki's licensing guidelines. I used Canva to create the graphics and OpenShot to edit the video together.

this stands alone a little better than the other video tale, but its just an exposition dump. i will admit i liked the 'has your third eye opened' line but other than that this is a bit on the dry side.

Gotta' agree with Nico here. Videos are stories all their own - even orientations. You nearly hit a tone (no pun intended) with the third eye line, but beyond that it's like an employee training video you'd get at a supermarket… and not in the fun kitschy way. Maybe some CC free music might help? An introductory warning message to contrast the tone?

I actually liked it. For one, it was concise. And while it may have not been spicy or explosive, I don't think that's a bad thing. The dry, clinical nature of the video adds to it's realism. This is NOT a subject that would be presented in a flashy way IRL…this is about what I would expect from a video covering this type of subject matter if I were watching it in the real world. The only thing I would change is maybe make the lvl 2's inquiries a bit more bizarre an ambiguous. The third eye was great, but sprinkle a little more crazy in with the mundane. 🤟

Another note. All the other questions you asked regarding location, the callers health, ect. are considered standard and expected in any emergency call. I would omit them completely and prelude the information with "Some more unconventional questions your lvl 2 TMO may ask are"…..

I feel inclined to agree with the other commentors. The video is fine, if maybe a little dry. The addition of some background music or some more comments akin to the "third eye" could definitely make it a bit more interesting, but in it of itself I still like the description of the TMO's duties.

I agree that a bit of background music could have worked, but I still enjoyed it.

I think the way to make it more engaging would be to have a few examples of actual calls, e.g. "Anomalous or regular", although this would have been a lot more effort to make!

I like this one, although I agree it could have used from some music for the background, and maybe some more details to make the call less dry, especially as almost all of the info here can be obtained from the previous works like Maria.

Overall… Yeah, think this one needed a tad more substance. Novote.

I agree with most others that this doesn't have as much substance as I would have hoped. However, I will say that the voice actor did a pretty excellent job with setting the tone. Beyond that, I'll have to no vote. Videos are a unique medium that I always love seeing explored on this site.
