I'd go on and on, but I feel like you knowing how much I love 3law and me saying this is the most 3law article out there is enough for you to get my opinion on this. Bloody fantastic.
And we're off! Man, this has been a blast to follow. About this tale, well, great dialogue, great prose, the setting's awesome as always, and we get more Gormogon content. What else can I ask for?

Oh me oh my. This kicks ass. It doesn't feel half as long as it is, which is great, because I'm not gonna lie, I got a little spooked by that scrollbar at first. But within a few paragraphs, I was completely on board (huehuehue). I don't think you need me to tell you that your sentence-to-sentence prose is excellent, but I will anyway, because it is. Jess is an excellently defined character — everyone in this is, actually. I'm kind of sad there's only one entry left in the series, because I was totally game for a bunch of stuff recounting the journey of these space lesbians (astrosapphic?). This really does read like the best 3Law tales — worldbuilding, characters, a kickass premise, whip-ass sci-fantasy up the wazoo. Really great stuff.
Dialogue flows impeccably, the science-magic combo manages to be high-concept and engaging while being reasonably easy to grasp, the characters are a treat, and Douglas is already showing signs of a worthy sci-fi space ship leader with the stuff he's saying.
Also, Michelle and Jess are a treat to read.
Now to pray that all the "redshirts" don't die.
