Thanks for ready SCP-6774, the fourth entry for The Department of Other as part of DepartmentCon 2022. Please check out our other entries if you liked this, or if you didn't like this and want to see OthellotheCat and daveyoufool do it better.

There seems to be an issue posting a title at the moment, but we're calling this one "It looks like you've realised what is required to survive, no matter the cost. Can I Assist With That?".

Big thanks to Othello, Meserach, Ethagon and LordStonefish for crit on this at various stages, including one where this was about a magic pacman amiibo.

Lots to enjoy here. I'm a huge fan of GAW generally, and the idea that the 'joke' department had jurisdiction over them early on makes a lot of sense. But even outside of the GAW stuff, a Clippy apocalypse prepper is just a great concept, and the Rapture mechanic extends from that concept nicely while allowing the thing to serve a role in the narrative.

I like it, it has a really nice vibe to it. The anomaly itself was interesting, followed by the log with Clyde; interesting stuff. My one grip is that the ending feels inconclusive, all things considered, but it was still good: Maybe the dialogue between Clyde and the PoI could be polished a bit; feels weird.

Nonetheless, twas a really solid piece. Really liking what Other's been putting out. +1~

All the component parts here work very well. The dialogue is tight as hell. The GAW inclusion was a nice touch, and one that, looking back, makes a hell of a lot of sense. It didn't hurt that the GAW chatlogs itself were also very good — I'm not particularly well-versed in GAW characters, but I liked the discussion. The anomaly itself is also cute, fun, charming — I think this is our third or fourth anomalous Clippy, isn't it? — all while being funny in that semiserious way that I've noticed you guys are nailing down excellently throughout this series. I do agree that the ending seems… weak, though I do recognize what you were going for — it just didn't land for me that well. Still, overall it's a fun ride that's a refreshing slight change from the DoO formula.

This has got to have the single largest amount of tags I've seen since Kaktus' 3rd 001 Proposal. I also really liked the cliffhanger(?) at the end. Is he working on his own (and w/ GAW members) to get his friend out? Or is he being puppeteered by the Foundation to get the rest of the chatroom in bars?

Overall, I really like it. +1.
