Over the last few months, MAST's Navigation Team has been considering rewrites for a number of pages and essays. Among those was the a rewrite for the mainsite's 404/placeholder page (Also known as the "this page doesn't exist yet!" pop-up), which can be seen here.
One of the main issues we had with the original page was its length: A big part of it was believed to be unnecessary, and provided superfluous text that could be cropped for brevity. Another issue was the links: Most of the links in the page would simply drown each other, making them easily ignorable. As such, both the amount of text and links was reduced.
This discussion will be up for a week. If no major complaints or corrections are voiced, we'll move to replace the onsite 404 page with the proposed draft.
