A huge shoutout to the Bright List's discussion page, being the main inspiration of this article. I'm not writing this to shame users for liking who they like, it's just that some people who like Bright, for example, tend to be… you know. Again, if you enjoy Bright as a character, then that's fine by me.

Thank you (and sorry) to RadiantGold, Mooagain , and Dr Lerche for looking over this during the drafting process. Appreciate it as always. For less cursed pieces, head over to my author page.

The way the examples are portrayed, coupled with the title of the article, just make this piece feel sort of mean-spirited. I get that fandoms are often eccentric but making fun of them (especially making fun of a specific fandom in particular) in this way just doesn't feel in very good faith. I can understand if this wasn't your intention but that's how it came across to me. Sorry.

On one hand, I really enjoy the idea of the off-site fandom's obsession with Bright in a Broken Masquerade Scenario, but on the other hand I feel this treads way too heavily on SCP-5403's toes without offering something unique. The final part, though, was pretty clever. I'm ultimately novoting this, but I do hope that you try and rewrite this article since it has potential to be an interesting commentary.

I like the connection to the list, but the examples feel relatively mean spirited, but not quite cursed enough to be funny like SCP-5403. Downvoted, sorry

Kinda disappointed. The portrayal of obsessive fandoms feels outdated. If you wanna see a fanbase gone rampant, look at the MCYT community. Dope idea but not what I was hoping for. Also feels like it’d make more sense as a tale or some other article format opposed to an SCP submission.
