The writing of the addenda on this SCP is kinda… rough is the best way to put it, I think. Clinical tone does not require short, choppy sentences.

I like this one, because it sorta gets a message out there, don't do peyote, or you'll get fucked. I might be pretty biased though, as I am Native American, so it is always nice to read about one if my own.
well, if you do get rid of this one, I will be sad, But then I will probably post suggestions in the writers block forum Specifically related to Native Americans. Seriously people, Native mythology is so cool, you don't even KNOW! XD

Psst, kendra, check the current list of articles under review. There were a few on the list that surprised me, but like Bright said, popular does not necessarily mean good. Shouldn't take you long to think of several things that are very popular but are utter crap….
Well, even though what Kendrakirai was a little…. weird, I agree that a there are a lot of good ones up for deletion. And if an SCP is positively rated, especially one that has 24 points, then some people consider it good.

I think this another case of 'this interesting, cool, and I don't understand why it's an SCP'
Ideally, I think this was intended as a direct subversion of Xman type SCPs. The guy has metal wings. That sounds awesome. But… he can't fly, they can't be removed, and they trap him by anchoring him to concrete.
I see the idea.
But it's written in such a way that the blatant badfic potential is highlighted here, and I think that's part of the problem. The whole bit about the wings reacting to his mood, or blocking bullets? Yeh. Giving the wings an obvious benefit ruins the type subversion.
I almost like this SCP, and I'm glad it's up for edit, because with a few changes it could be a solid entry.

This is the first draft of my proposed revision for SCP-070. I'm not totally satisfied with it, but I think (I hope) I kept the basic idea intact. Feedback welcome as always.
I'll leave it in Pastebin till a Mod or Admin gives the go-ahead to update the entry. Right now I'm going to bed and I'll look for comments in the morning.
It's much better, certainly, but needs a bit of polish.
Honestly, "better" was what I was immediately shooting for, just to get it off Death Row. "Great" can happen when there aren't 50 articles to review for the Mass Edit….
Hmm… seems like it deals with some of the problems of it being "cool," so that's good. I like the edit, though I'd want to check with the original author if he can be contacted. Good luck with the edit.

It's a decent SCP. Not great, but decent. The line about the peyote made me smile enough to decide to upvote it.

i like this one a lot, particularly in how it turns the presumptions of "dude with wings" on their head. also the order of the signs of distress - quantifiable, clinical measures first, human suffering last.
the tone/wording of the addendum is a bit rough, though. i'd expect "is named" to be "claims to be named," and the bit about peyote feels like it should be phrased more formally, or included in the sentence as a quote.
