Our current How to Contribute page suffers from a lack of direction. Despite the page being supposedly aimed at users who already have a draft ready to post, the majority of the page is dedicated to explaining concepts which we expect users to already know of¹, and despite being a page which users are supposed to return to multiple times, the main usability feature is buried at the bottom of the page.

In order to fix these issues and clean up the page, MAST's Guides and Official Pages team decided to rewrite the page as a whole, and the rewrite can be seen here.

Discussion regarding this change will be held for a week. If no major concerns are raised in this timeframe, the rewrite will be implemented as the timer expires. In the case of split opinions, a vote will be held.

1. For example, a quarter of the page explains what an SCP is. You know, the main drawing point of the site which anyone should know of after reading a single article.

Just noting that it was discussed whether this would make it more likely that people see the contribute box first and just start creating pages, however it was decided that the kind of people who would do that without reading any guides or feedback are probably not going to be deterred by a short scroll down the page. We can't really help people until they realise they need it.

Also, if you want to quickly create new pages, typing directly into the URL is slightly quicker than using the contribute page anyway, I honestly had no idea this thing existed.

The sandbox page looks very good and the links are great. Two small things though.

1) Point four is a bit weirdly worded imo but a great and truthful disclaimer.

2) For posting an SCP consider a disclaimer as well to the series and the [ACCESS DENIED] stuff. I know the link to How To Write An SCP has that disclaimer in the last tab but the question of which numbers are still available is one I see almost on a daily basis.

Apart from that this looks clean. Great job.

Edit: Seeing Hex comment I also think fragment: and deletion: maybe falls under what he means.
