Shortform article that I wrote in one sitting to start off NaNoWriMo. Co-author credit should go to Azamo does not match any existing user name, for helping me come up with the idea in the first place. Thank you to Modulum for the new title.

Fun as fuck to crit. The idea of the Foundation just not caring about what aliens do or think and just classifying this as explained is hilarious. Well done.

Edit: Re-thinking about it, I'm still not sure mainlist is the correct section for the article. It still is an -EX. This is not going to affect my vote in any way, just wanted to speak my mind about it.

Hmmm. Think this is a no-vote from me, for now. Whilst I can see why you wouldn't want this to overstay its welcome, I could have used a bit more of a serious preamble to create a stronger tonal rug to pull from under me. I also clicked what this was going to be from the first 7 words of the description combined with the title - in my opinion, the latter gives away your punchline.

The transmission itself is great though. "Strongly worded fleet" is sublime.

I agree that the title could be better and not give away the punchline, I'll see if I can think of something better.

i had a dream about this SCP for some reason where we travel to the alien race's place promising enlightenment in cars but we ended up being tortured for what feels like eternity in a Hell special for us cuz that's how you achieve nirvana

It's the author's own decision to do so. But I don't really see a reason to make this an -EX in the first place.

I specifically chose to make this a mainlist article because -EX articles receive significantly less attention, and in my (correct) opinion, there's nothing wrong with using the tools presented by an object class in a standard article.

I love the idea of the Foundation just completely ignoring a warning like this and going "yep this shits explained" and moving on without second thought, because its exactly what they would do.

I mean, tachyons *are* a real theoretical concept in physics… but it's probably still the latter.
