Recap Team Nomination Thread

Hello all! I'm coming to you today to request recommendations for staff candidates to the potentially-upcoming Staffchat Recap Team. The purposes and procedures of this team are outlined here.

I have one simple request: take a look at the Active Staff List and the Master Staff List! If you see somebody you think would be a good choice for the Recap Team, we would be delighter to hear it! You may submit your formal recommendations here or in a PM to me, pr0m37h3um.

Please do not request people at random! You should be familiar enough with the work of any members of staff that you recommend that you can be confident they would be good choices for this team in particular. In addition, please do not recommend yourself or non-staff users. This thread is aimed for non-staff audiences. As outlined in the proposal, staff members may only recommend non-staff, and vice versa.

I sincerely doubt most of these people would be able to join the team due to being busy or disinterested but these are the people on OS and above that I think would be effective at doing the job of this new recap team.

Are current JS considered to be staff or non-staff for the purpose of being nominated (and for making nominations)?

I'd recommend linking to the Master Staff List as well in the OP, since Junior Staff are only listed there (and on Meet the Staff, but that has no info about their teams).

I'm not going to suggest any OS+ because I literally just left junior staff a few days ago and it'd be a bit weird. However, I would recommend to others looking to suggest that they consider some of the staff members who have been hesitant or not in favor of the policy. If they are willing, this helps show to others with concerns about the proposal (both those on staff and not) that it will not turn out the ways they fear. In addition, one or two potentially-dissenting voices on a team that will likely be at least ten people can provide an initial check to prompt more internal discussion about whether to include certain things, but is not a large enough number that they can sabotage the team themselves.

I will suggest some junior staff, since it wasn't initially clear whether they were to be suggested in this thread or not. As Pedagon, I'm deliberately suggesting a large number with the assumption that some would decline:

I noticed that there are up to 12 recommendations for single staff members to join the recap team, yet there are only four posts in this thread. Were there separate nomination requests posted to other official SCP platforms, such as #site19? Were all other nominations made in private? What was the criteria for the number of nominations required to move to the next step of adding staff to the team?

A little more transparency in how this process unfolded would be appreciated, because I'm concerned that the community was not given sufficient opportunity to participate.

Recommendations had been requested for about a month and a half prior to this thread, as they had been asked for in staffchat, SCPD, and other places as far back as the original recap proposal.
