Central Narrative: Starts with the basic containment procedures, with a couple of unique rules when it comes to staff, including them having to be aromantic and that they call medical support if the statue talks to them
The description starts with the basics of SCP-1, detailing the appearance of the statue. The statue is able to communicate. It then details its ability.
The description continues by describing SCP-2, a black energy mass that comes from the statue when it finds a match. The mass transforms into a figure that is humanoid, but is rarely human shaped. They cannot communicate verbally, instead using psychic power to display brief images. The figure will always share the preferred bodily and personality preferences of the person they're talking to. The figure will disappear if the person verbally shows affection towards the figure or if the person leaves the statues range for a long enough period of time. If the first happens, the person will transform into a black energy mass and will merge with the figure, followed by being sucked into the statue. If the person tries to leave the figure, the same withdrawal symptoms from leaving the statue will occur.
A third entity is briefly mentioned, an advertiser that comes from the statue that will promote the statue to lead people to it. This entity hasn't been seen since containment.
Details about where the statue came from are sprinkled in, including a brief altercation with the third entity. When field agents tried to detain this advertiser, they turned into a white mass and went towards the statue. Agents find the statue, but one is turned into a dark energy mass when it enters the statue's range
A couple of experiments involving D Class personnel show the effects of the withdrawal symptoms and a brief conversation between a subject and a SCP-2.
After this, an interview between a researcher and the statue take place. The statue gives the basics of itself but nothing more. When the researcher tries to prod, the statue overs a long range scan that guarantees the scientist won't be immediately sucked up. Researcher agrees, and a SCP-2 is formed. After a somewhat lengthy interview with SCP-2, the doctor compliments it and is sucked up along with the SCP-2.
A follow up interview with the statue occurs, a new researcher asking questions about where the researcher went, with the statue giving vague answers. Near the end when the doctor tries to leave, the statue propositions the doctor to give more answers over time in exchange for more lovebirds
Initial Hook: The fact aromantic people are the only ones around the statue, that if the statue talks they're not allowed to talk back and have to contact medical support, and D Class Personnel are put in every 3 days.
