I very very much like the portrayal of the consequences of the anomaly, something quite simple can have a profound effect +1
The anomaly itself is wonderfully strange, but my favourite aspect is how sinister you make the Foundation here. There's so much malice and threat hiding behind the clinical reporting. I certainly wasn't expecting this when I began reading, but I really enjoyed the ride. Thanks for posting!
In the 6565-1 experiment log there is a minor spelling error where I think “ SCP-6565-1 writhes dramtically” should be “ SCP-6565-1 writhes dramatically” ? Other than that I really enjoyed this catacombs work and it reminded me of the tree boss from DS3. +1
I feel like this wouldn't be impossible to bypass, given how anomalous memes would introduce the possibility of one temporarily instilling themself with loyalty, or imprinting their "true" goals deeply into their subconscious, if not outright performing extremely screwy doublethink.
Even more so, without the need for memes or other anomalous means, there are people who simply do not visualise/conceptualise as well. People who are exceptionally good at working around conventional thought patterns.
Michelle has barely thought this through, but I like that as a theme, it plays into how sinister the change here is.
