Don't just title your thread 'SCP Idea' or something like that. Give it a fitting title that also makes it stand out.

Every time I see an idea titled "Seeking Greenlight" I want to scream. Thanks for the guide to hopefully help new folks navigate the forums, I'm probably going to end up linking this a lot lol.

Now where was this a month ago when I had to fight my own concept post to fit said idea in 400 words or less?

Ok, but for real, this is a really good guide on not only how to communicate and pitch ideas well, but also to help one better develop said ideas for a concept post. Really well written piece.

This is a fantastic essay and one I see myself referring or pointing people to an awful lot in the future doing crit. Thank you for putting this together!

This is very good and my only issue is the slight weakness of it never addressing the "Hook/Attention Grabber" section — it feels like a short section highlighting how that differs from the other sections and draws from them could be really helpful
