Man, good thing nothing on the site is already called Meanwhile, in Australia, right?

OH! Also big thanks to Rounderhouse for making a real-world image of Director Moose specifically for my MemeCon article and absolutely nothing else.

The meme itself, which is, as the article says, a humourous juxtaposition of the fact that Australia is southerly with the un-fact that Australia is "upside-down." Are you laughing more because the joke was explained?

Last image had me literally gasping for air due to laughter… just the idea of the Foundation countering a meme in such a dumb fashion is hilarious but makes perfect sense given the anomalous aspects as stated. Great goddamn article.

The "Meanwhile, in Australia" meme makes whatever is pictured invert. Doing it to the meme itself makes the memetic effect invert. The inverse of inverting something is to… not invert it lol

5883 works by inverting whatever is pictured, making them act opposite how they normally would. That's why Clef is nice and Gears is sexist. By creating a 5883 instance of the original meme that triggered the anomaly, it inverts 5883 and negates any anomalous properties.
