SCP-6525

Originally for the SCP-6000 contest, I posted this at the last second - 4:56PM where I live, and 11:56PM, May 31st in Eastern Time. A coldpost, written in the last hour of the posting period and also my first SCP. Thanks for reading.

this is so sweet. as someone who gets attached to kids very easily… this really resonated for me. i love this idea… receiving something you think you don't want… but over time realize you can't live without. :') +1

This in my opinion should be THE SCP-6000 however it needs expansion. The article could be longer. Besides that its a really good article and deserves my upvote. Also I think some really good tales could be made off of this. About what it was like for the other O5 Council Members.

While I don't mind SCPs that are bare and the addendum do the heavy lifting, I don't think we even actually know anything about the anomaly? It's kind of just reminiscent of SCP-8900-EX with the one or two lines of the effects were described, and we still know nothing about the anomaly.

I don't think there's enough emotional buildup from O5-5, so the ending wasn't as impactful as you probably hoped. Also, mighty impressive that a 20 year old could become O5.

I dig the slice of life after a reality restructuring, but it definitely needs work making us care about O5-5 and his family more.

….but whats the actual anomaly. Its some kind of big event but we don't even know what all happened. If there was more detail about the actual scp then I'd +1 but for now I'm no voting.

This is a really interesting concept, but I wish there was more to it. It feels very incomplete, all things considered. It happens, it's implied, and then it ends. I couldn't get attached to the characters so… Yeah. Think it needs a bit more of work.
