This is a re-write of 1162 or a different scp? I'm confused.
Before anyone else asks, original 1162 was self deleted. Rounder just happened to pick up the slot.
Oh… that sucks. That article was a classic. Eh. Maybe some day some one would write a spiritual piece to it like they did with the hateful star.

Yet another reason why the self-deletion policy should be revised. I'm sick of this glorified vandalism.
But I don't understand why it self deleted? It had plenty of upvotes, what is the reason behind the self-deletion? Can someone explain me like I'm a 5 years old?
And yes, I just read again the original 1162 and it was original and fascinating. This scp is ok too (I gave it a +1), but there are already many scps with human settlements being teleported on different planets for some reasons. Nothing new. A hole giving people their lost things was something really original :(.
the author of the original was banned from the chat for breaking the rules, so they retaliated by deleting their articles. the full thread is available on o5command.

While it did let me complete the "one article in every series" infinity stones, I agree with you. But this isn't exactly the place for that.
A bit sadden by the disappearance of the original 1162, as it was one of the first SCP I read and enjoyed, but this one is really nice too. Short, simple but the story is clear without being sold to obviously and it strikes a good balance between funny and tragic.

Apologies for not reading this and getting drawn into the deletion drama earlier. This plays into my preferences for short skips with simple but effective moments of pathos.
