So basically, this SCP is a combination of a love letter to Australian Aboriginal Dreamtime stories about the Rainbow Serpent, and a way to cope with my frustration over the environmental issues plaguing the world today, especially the Australian governments decision to try and murder every animal on our continent. Go fuck yourself Scott Morrison. In particular, I wanted this to be an outlet for the utter devastation I felt during Australias 2019-2020 bushfires. As a nation that has already lost so much of its wilderness, we really couldn't afford to lose so much more, and as an animal lover, I couldn't bear to see it. This SCP grew from that foundation, the pain of losing so many beautiful, amazing animals and the governments decisions that were both implicit in causing the disaster, and their resolve to continue that trend. While I can't do much more than I have out in the real world, I can at least try and set things right in a fictional one.
