Short OOC essay. Feel free to discuss.
This is actually quite good…at the risk of seeming like something of a tag-along, I now feel inspired to do my own brief dissertations on The Foundation and the SCP items.
Very good points made in the entry. The Foundation (to me) embodies a aggressive neutrality. No world domination plans, no fighting against a great, cosmic evil. Just a giant bureaucracy, burying things to help keep reality…well…real.
I agree with you on

Personally, I always found the SCP foundation as cruel, but not, unnecessarily cruel, for example (to reference one of your own SCPs) the foundation is willing the break a man's leg to contain 106. But not willing to break a man's leg to break a man's leg, they are cruel when necessary, but no more, no less.
Edit: Sorry, I didn't realize until after I posted it that it was a necropost, (Note to self: ALWAYS, check when something was posted before commenting on it)
I don't get the thing with 132, though. Why should that last line send shivers down my spine? He broke rules and was terminated for it. Is there something more to it, or is that all? I've come to take the Foundation's disregard for the individual for granted, so maybe that's why I see nothing out of the ordinary in that statement. I mean, compare a single guy's fate to all the class D personnel fed into the grinder monthly.
Or is there something else that I haven't caught on to at all?
Voss, your post here shows that you got the point entirely.
Now consider what it says about you.
Yeah, it's nice to put the Foundation in the role of a white knight slaying all the dragons but it's just not. That's what I like, it's scary and freaky.
It seems to me that most, if not all, compassion or mercy comes from the workers (a minority of them). Rarely have I read any 05's or higher ups acting in any way other than in the foundation's interest.
Hmm… Speaking as a newcomer, I can say that this really has been an eye opener. I admire that the members of this wiki take time to consider the overall thematic considerations of their work, instead of just "maekin em fite gud.". You've obviously put some thought into the moral issues addressed in canon, and I commend you.
Good essay. Consider adding this to the "Writing Tips" sections of the Wiki, since I think it could be helpful to newcomers to get an idea of where the Foundation stands (on the side of the status quo of the world continuing to exist).
I can see this article is pretty old, but it looks like it's still very much relevant to the general workings of the site, and very useful, but it's a bit hidden away - is that deliberate, or simply how things happened? Also, the SCP-132 referenced has apparently been changed in the interim.
Also, it is in fact possible to have a mental illness and still be cognizant of the concepts of good and evil. ADHD is a mental illness (that I have), and it means that I'm compulsively bouncing my feet as I write this comment. It does not prevent me from understanding that it would be wrong to stab someone in the stomach because they're annoying.
No need to make it so roundabout. This page was one of the reasons SCP-132 was -ARC'd. It just never got updated properly.

No problem, man. GOOD WORK, EITHER WAY.

I appreciate how this touches upon the different lights the Foundation is painted in from article to article. Nice read.
I can understand Dr. Clef (the character) not being considered evil.
I have a hard time looking at The Things Dr Bright Is Not Allowed To Do At The Foundation and then picturing Dr.Bright (the character) as anything other than evil or a mad man. I can not think of a single person, real or fiction, would do things like play "SCP Roulette", tell personal to play peekaboo with SCP-173, or using SCP-173 as a babysitter, while knowing full well what SCP-173 would do and be both considered not evil and sane, unless the victims are evil, in which case the morality of that person might be ambiguous.
