This works like a parody of format screw articles (at least in my mind). When I first saw the footnotes I assumed their was going to be some explanation of why the article had to be written like that, but than the footnotes were the anomaly.

I'm not sure if that was the intention but I like this either way.

I wasn't sold on the gimmick at first, but the last footnote was really good.

This is one of those articles that kinda holds itself up by only a gimmick, which is increasingly annoying to use as the document continues on. The footnotes themselves don't really have much in them, besides one joke about the blackboxes (which admittedly made me laugh, and I wish there were more of them)

Speaking of which, I wish there was just more in general. As it is, it just feels short because it can be. There's nothing really important about it, and I just can't get myself into it. I'd really recommend using BetterFootnotes for reader's sake but I think there's just not enough for me to get into it.

EDIT: After giving it another read, I think I could get myself into the shorter format if there was just some more extension into the Discovery, and if the article's gimmick was just easier to use in general.

While I appreciate what the article was going for, I feel it didn’t go far enough into the absurd to sell the joke and what’s here isn’t that funny or subversive.

I think if the footnotes started off as mundane explanations and skyrocketed into the very weird by the end, it would work a lot better.

Appreciate the work that went into it, and the thought behind the execution, but feels like it went about 3/4 of the way

I enjoyed this. The best part was when the footnotes starting doxing, because it was simultaneously funny and a HUGE security breach. Deep down, though, don't we all wish an anomalous footnote-bot went around revealing expungements? I wanna know what's at the bottom of those stairs, dang it!

However, I think it might be better off as a joke article. I don't say that because I'm one of those people who thinks anything that draws a chuckle should be a -j. Rather, I think the level of humorous meta-commentary here is a bit too self-aware for the mainlist, in particular the reference to the actual website. Surely the non-j Foundation uses something more advanced than wikidot to host their database, but there is a joke 001 proposal where they do exactly that.

Saw this on IRC earlier today and I love it, the joke is funny and not stretched out to the point were it gets annoying and it gives this feeling when you first read it like: "Bruh this dude needs to //chill/ with the footnotes" but then after you read it it becomes great.
