Hey, you should definitely consider continuing this little fic. I really enjoy stories about day-to-day life at The Foundation and how it has its effect on the personnel. I also love the subtle emotion in Ice and the hint of sadness incurred by the title.
His last post was (sadly) almost two years ago. I'm sure if you could get him back it would be appreciated but I don't think it's likely.
Ironically, I just watched Watchmen today, nice journal entry.
Just one error I caught:

I actually really don't like this, despite the instinctive affections I have for relics.
And this is just a relic: not really up to par. It's kind of wanky and Iceberg's character creeping hard on Rights and Break isn't all that awesome; the point of the story appears to be that Iceberg is creepy and kinda very misogynist. It's not that we can't have creepy, misogynist characters, it's just that's all there is to this story. It's not enough. The main thing I like about this is the title and that doesn't really match the rest of the story.
Iceberg's character is more interesting and sympathetic when written by Troy.
Downvoting, but I'd vote for -ARC out of affection for old dead things.
I like this, but I think it would be better as an archived thinger than anything. Doesn't quite fit in with what we're looking for any more.

I like this, largely because I'm selfish. It fits with the characterization of Iceberg people need to know before reading other stories. If there are no complaints, I'll clean it up a little bit, and we'll see if people still dislike it.

I already rewrote it, but I'm down if he is. If not, feel free to revert.
My rewrite is largely done. I might go back and revisit it again after a little while to tighten things up, but I'm happy enough with the current version.
If you guys want, tossing some grammar and proofreading at it would be appreciated.

Character is as creepy as ever, except this time the story is more aware of it. And he's also much more sympathetic… and I feel bad for sympathizing with him to the extent that I do.

This story strikes a wonderful, wonderful balance of making you hate Iceberg for how creepy he is, as well as making him a bit more sympathetic in some regards… somehow? I can't even place the exact text where it's happening, but it's definitely happening. This is a good place to start with Iceberg, especially when you get into his character more and see his relation with other researchers, especially Gears.
+1. Definitely underrated, and also a massive improvement from the original version. I almost wish I could find more stories with Iceberg as a central character, with this kind of characterization.
