Making the Americas Great Again...

Sinagsikap 23 Mar 2021 16:22

English Version

Hello, Veralta here to present another SCP for JamCon Round Two, and this time, I combined the first and the more dominant second theme! This is a story of turtles that clean vast tracts of land in the Americas for the two continents' new hope, after a corruption scenario occurred that practically devastated it. Think of it as Wall-E, but more apocalyptic.

Honestly, though, this is inspired by Sitio-34's Vacero, their turtle mascot with a brown hat, and all the guys hanging around in off-topic and general. Those guys are very fun to be around with, particularly due to the amount of memeing they do. So if you have time, drop by at Sitio-34's Discord server :p

A lot of thanks to Ralliston, Cole 13, basirskipreader, DrAkimoto, and tawnyowljones for their critique, SPAG corrections, and generally saying if my article worked or not, particularly in terms of pacing.

The idea, however, mainly came when one of the guys at Sitio-34 (I think it was Ronny?) posted Vacero. I took a long hard look at it, and came immediately to the brainstorming channel, where Dc_Yerko, and RonnyModZz helped me primarily conceptualize the Wall-E angle and SECSO. Without them, I would have never made tortle :)

In any case, I hope you enjoy this short SCP!

I'm lucky that I don't live in the Americas.

And this will make Mulnero canon?
