My favorite bit is realizing there’s multiple layers of corruption to this… plus I have an old person’s nostalgia about old apple computers before they became the cult like alt-option they did in the 2000s.
The interrogation is especially believable, making almost think the dude was about to go on a villain monologue.

Great stuff, as always - Marroquin is a special kind of scummy. You have a skill for making your characters well-defined. One minor formatting point - I'd be tempted to hide the last addendum as part of the collapsible, or in its own. I instinctually read it first, and spoilt that last, wonderful twist (sometimes I'm my own worst enemy…).
Thanks, as always! I'll think about the ending; I hate having the last thing on a page be a collapsible, because the reader might just straight up not see it.
The dialogue here is some of the best I've seen in a while. Flows super well, both characters felt like actual people, and I was almost disappointed when I realised it had to end. I could also really get into the overall narrative. Thoroughly enjoyable.

The stinger contextualizing the "can only affect LC IIIs" bit removed my only anticipated complaint with this article — it's always fun to see an author snag me with a clue that sets up their intended twist.

Oh, I like Eileen Veiksaar. Not only clever, but cunning, and very good at knowing how to play her cards. No wonder the Foundation's holding on to her. Brains are one thing, knowing how to stack the deck in your favor is another.
Marroquin, sheesh. Gets a tool of immense power, and what does he use it for? To be blatantly evil, almost openly as far as his department was concerned. Subtlety, fellow; it gets you more of what you want with a lesser chance of getting caught.

I am less addicted to creepy weirdoes, but man do they have their uses!
I loved this. The dialogue when the bad guy is held captive wasn't 100% to my taste, I think I would actually enjoy it more if both men were a bit LESS cool. Their exhange is a bit too smug for me. But I don't hold it against you. It's really a solid SCP, a joy to read, and not too long either. It's amazing how you make the character of the girl "pop" (is that the expression? English is not my first language), she's so likeable and important, and that is conveyed even though we're "far" from her all the time: we're told about her actions, through others, we only get to hear her for a little bit. +1
My desire for verisimilitude loses out to my desire for one-liners every time :P

I've never really said this before, but I really, really like how smart OG43's characters are and how it's treated. Like, all of them represent a level of professionalism and brilliance that would be normally expected from their positions, and the way it's delivered comes off as a very natural extension of their characters.
