Ok, look, the article itself isn’t half-bad, but I have a bit of a severe gripe with the way “deletions” are portrayed.
Like, unless everyone at WWS is using scarily accurate speech-to-text transcribers, no document is ever going to look like this;
We first met Chel when- Chel came to us- Chel…
Or this;
He- He was assigned- Chel- Errr…
Or even this;
Well-! No no no.
Rather, they would all look like someone had, you know, typed the words out, then deleted them;
We first met Chel when Chel came to us Chel
He He was assigned Chel
Well No no no.
I know that this article is several years old, and these errors probably won’t be fixed, but if the author and any other writers read this, know that this is the right way to write deletions.
Still, can’t fault the idea. 10/10 on Pattern Screamer Shenanigans, 2/10 on Document Function Knowledge.
