Novote. There's a couple sentence structures that could use some rephrasing here and there, but for the most part I enjoyed most of the skip. Where it falls flat for me is the ending, which feels somewhat abrupt/confusing to me. However:
The containment team on the SCP-5596 project used the machine, however, none were able to score lower than "Naughty, but Nice."
Congrats on implying the research team's inherent sex appeal is stopping them from doing their jobs.
The setup here is inspired but the execution feels like it left too much off the table. The interview doesn’t go anywhere and there’s no real resolution to make this satisfactory to read.

I like how you're exploring the logical assumption that in a world of big life changing anomalies and small poignant anomalies there must also necessarily exist some really random ass podunk anomalies that just are kind of… there.
