This was born out of my eternal fear of two things: those shitty Polish villages that have no contact with society and the concept of having no one to reach out to. These two things utterly terrify me. It was partially inspired by the weird stories my grandpa (who works as an electrician) would always tell me as a kid; stories of weird people and places he had seen during his work time. I really loved these stories and I feel like this is a sort of tribute to that.
I'm horrible with horror — I neither like reading it nor do I like writing it, but here I am. I never planned to write a horror story on the Wiki, but a quick look at all photos of The Great Hippo's Pictures of Ordinary Houses and Basements Twitter Account after reading his absolutely phenomenal Substation 9 (which, if for some reason you still haven't read you should do right now) made me find a lot of inspiration in some of them, and here we are. Writing this was really fun, and hopefully you'll enjoy it too.
Fun fact: I'm so bad with horror I literally made myself scared writing this article, which I think is pretty hilarious if I'm being honest.
