Elevator Pitch: Due to a partially understood force the Apollo 11 capsule has been continually returning to earth every year since 1969, always on July 24th. And this is no mere temporal loop: every year another capsule appears, containing another set of astronauts Neil A. Armstrong, Edwin E. “Buzz” Aldrin, and Michael Collins.
Central Narrative: Small clues as to why this keeps happening are found, including hints that the capsule is being replicated by some unknown outside force, and there are clues found hinting at what the force is.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: There's an incident where due to an electrical storm the anomaly "replicates" incorrectly, leading to massively distorted and dangerous crew that are able to kill recovery crew members, and one even escapes into the ocean. Containment also fails due to foreign countries recovering the anomalous capsule due to inclement weather conditions, leading to larger cover-up efforts. At one point almost 100 of the surviving astronauts make a successful group escape attempt, leading to stricter containment measures and a widespread astronaut-hunt.
Additional Notes: By itself I feel like it's a relatively creative skip, but I'm open to ideas to add a bit more excitement, a few more "and then things went terribly wrong" hooks I can add to an 05 Level Only section for instance.
