Elevator Pitch:
A thick fog appears biannually in the town of Silverthorne, Colorado, usually as seasons and temperatures begin to change, covering a large portion of Dillon Dam Road. Those that enter the fog find that time behaves strangely for them while they're inside.

Central Narrative:
The presence of a literal Pterodactyl soaring above a highway clues the Foundation in on an anomaly in the immediate vicinity in the form of a fog cloud. After sending a team to investigate it, one of the MTF agents finds a bodycam on the side of the road just outside of the fog. It appears to belong to the Foundation. To try and figure out what is happening, the Foundation sends an MTF unit into the anomaly.

The exploration log would go something like this:

• MTF-Theta-5 enter the fog with standard exploratory gear. The team leader is Miller. Agents are Brooks, Williams, Richardson, and Carter.
• Traversing the fog, the team encounters victims of temporal displacement such as: civil war soldiers in their respective uniforms seemingly lost, and a primitive hunter-gatherer party with pelts and hide clothing.
• Miller reports back to the Foundation to advise how to proceed.
• Foundation responds that the frequency he is on is private and asks him to identify himself.
• Miller gives his designation/code.
• Foundation responds that no-one of his name/designation exists.
• Miller realizes something is wrong.
• Foundation also realizes something is wrong, attempt to advise him anyway.
• A massive creature approaches the group.
• Theta-5 immediately open fire on the creature, which comes close enough for them to see that it's a t-rex. Brooks is eaten. Miller orders the team to the treeline for cover.
• At the treeline, Miller realizes the rest of the team is gone. T-rex is also gone. He is alone.
• Miller wanders the fog. He finally reaches the edge after walking several days. Each time he leaves, he realizes that it's not the correct time period, reentering.
• Miller begins talking to the camera, mostly about family and working for the Foundation.
• Disenfranchised, Miller exits the anomaly and leaves his bodycam on the ground, returning to the fog. "You knew didn't you? You knew all along" are his last words.
• Several hours later, someone picks up the camera, turning it around to reveal that the person is Miller, before he entered the anomaly.

Hook/Attention-Grabber: Miller and his team's trials and tribulations inside the anomaly.

Other Note

As I mentioned, I'm not hip to modern standards yet. But this idea is fleshed out, and offers more than just "anomaly what does things." If there is a greater criteria than that, I've yet to see it, but I do apologize if I'm out of place here. FWIW, though, I'd've said much the same thing back when I was JS-Crit a few years ago.

I like mysteries. I like mysterious fog. I like mysterious temporal shenanigans.

But in all seriousness, I do really like the concept that you've got going here. The narrative seems to be tightly composed and well written even in this bare bones format.

Well, you already got two Greenlights, but I might as well share my thoughts.

You got not just fog, but timey wimey fog with civil war soldiers and dinos running around.

Also, I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting it or not, but is Agent Miller part of the anomaly and doomed to repeat endlessly, and the Foundation knew about his anomalous nature all along?
