Elevator Pitch: A cast iron kitchen set, comprising of a Stove, Refrigerator, and Kitchen Sink, is haunted by a loving spirit. It will cook for people and produces food that heals. However, one rule, never look inside the cabinets nor pots of the kitchen. The specter will chase and beat, with a wooden spoon, any one who breaks their rules.
Object Description Summary: A cast iron kitchen set, consisting of a Stove, Refrigerator, and Kitchen Sink from the turn of the 19th century. When a person is within the room, or 30 meters, of these objects, a spectral humanoid appears at the stove. It is accompanied by spectral pots and pans and the smell of cooking food. The specter appears to be a elderly women of the same race as the observer. The specter will cook and produce any food the person asks for. This food has healing properties for both the mind and body. However, there is one rule of her kitchen, never look or reach into the pots on the stove nor in the cabinets. The specter will become angry and will proceed to chase and beat the transgressor with a wooden spoon until the specter feels that they have learned a lesson.
Central Narrative: The main plot point; this kitchen set houses, if not traps, a benevolent spirit that only wants to help those around it. The specter views other humans as their children and wants to protect them.
This object is inhabited by a specter. It has attached and or merged with the anomalous effects of the kitchen set. Through notes, interviews, and addendums the specter's past will be revealed. Through incident reports, the beneficial and negative affects of the object will be revealed. The benefits will range from healing to protection. But the negative will range from light injury to near-keter events. The Spirit and the objects are separate.
- Containment Procedures
- Measures put in place to prevent staff from peaking into the cabinets. All experiments must be approved by the specter. (Visual Barrier)
- Put in a incident report of when a guard looked in one of the pots trying help. The specter changed colors and assaulted the guard while repeating that no one is to look into the cabinets. She catches the guard and holds them off the ground by one arm. While she spanks him with the spectral spoon.
- The second incident will involve a team of researchers that distracted the specter while another opened a cabinet door and peaked in with a night vision camera.
- The containment unit must be decorated in the style of a old country kitchen per the specter.
- Reveal during a interview that she was a freed slave from Mississippi that was killed sometime before the turn of the century. However, in a second interview, she claims to be a indentured servant from Vermont in the 1720s. Another interview reveals a grandmother from 1895 that died at the stove during a house fire. Each time there is a new interviewer, there is a different specter. If the same interviewer goes in each time, they will get the same specter.

This SCP provides a great service to it's Site. However, the positive effects comes with strict rules and consequences. But not deadly consequences.
