AMBROSECONAMBROSECONAMBROSECON LETS GOOOOOOOOOO

Okay so for those of you who don't know, I started an initiative called Ambrosecon to write some character-driven articles about Chaz Ambrose, mostly detailing his descent into madness. A lot of you have hopefully read do-you-like-huey-lewis-and-the-news, but if not then go give it a look- Rounderhouse and stormbreath have been absolutely invaluable as guides and writers for this project.

Shoutout to the people who helped me with this; mainly the critters (etoisle, VoidLady, Deadly Bread, Ralliston), and Dr Moned), but also the other Chefs in Ambrosecon for helping me turn my dumb idea into a genuinely cool experience.

Also, I'm gonna get an authorpage if this goes well so that'll be fun.

Shouldn't the anomaly be the Elan-Vital, not the soup? (Or maybe even Ambrosia?) Treating the soup as the main anomaly is like the SCP being a person who wears an anomalous shirt.

I understand the plot and how it relates to the article out-of-universe, but in-universe, this article makes little sense. The letters are included for apparently no reason at all, and from the perspective of the Foundation they're entirely unrelated to this SCP. They characterise the relationship between Chaz and his brother + mother, but they have nothing to do with soup, and no in-universe context is provided.

The anomaly itself falls flat: it's hard to put an interesting spin on emotional compulsion. In fact I think you might have chosen the least interesting path to take this: I think it might been more fun to explore the mechanics of literal soul food. I understand that's not the point of this article, but for me that part was a swing and a miss, with neither context not subtlety to pad the emotional beats.

It's a -1 overall, but all that being said, this soup sounds pretty damn good.

Update: I have shrunken the Beeg Soup into a Smaller Soup. The old soup is dead, long live the soup.

So, higher up you said that the soup was made from goat cream and shredded mushrooms, but in the recipe it is made from goat butter and chopped mushrooms. So those should probably be equalized. I know butter is made from cream but you wouldn't say that it was made from cream if it was actually made from butter, unless the instructions were to personally turn the cream into butter before making the soup which they aren't. And making goat butter isn't as easy for regular people as making cow butter. Logistically, goat butter is more readily available than goat cream, so that might be the better one to stick with for a few reasons. As for chopped vs shredded, that's just a texture thing, roughly chopped would give you a chunkier soup and shredded would be less chunky.
