I have an idea (here: http://www.scpwiki.com/forum/t-13744715/monster-house#post-4778219)

I plan to do an article with the anomaly involved in the story. Everything is the same except it is told from the POV of the foundation.

Would I need to create a new thread on the idea forum and go through the greenlighting process

I'm… not really sure what you're asking here? If you want to repost a thread, you can do so if the last thread hasn't been interacted with in 14 days or longer. Otherwise, you can edit your thread and contact reviewers to take a look (see here: http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-13282692/how-to-get-more-reviews). Remember, if it's the same idea at heart, but with some things changed around, it's still the same idea.

If it's a completely new idea, you can make a new thread, but keep in mind that you can only post two threads in a seven day period. This is to prevent shotgunning.

If you don't have an article on the mainsite, then every new idea must be greenlit for the associated draft to be reviewed on the Draft Critique Forums.
