Seeking Greenlights: Yes
Page Type: SCP Article
Genre (Optional): Emotional/human
Elevator Pitch: A temporarily dissonant humanoid anomaly deals with the isolation and shame that comes with experiencing time at one one-thousandth speed. At least until their assigned psychiatrist gives them a lesson from the heart.
Central Narrative: The central narrative deals with the titular anomaly, formerly Lana Antoun, dealing with the psychological implications of her anomalous condition. General isolation, the shame of inadequacy, and a general feeling of slowing others down plague her everyday life. This is primarily explored through excerpts of her psych evaluations with Doctor Kaita, her assigned psychiatrist. The peak moment will be after Lana expresses her guilt that Dr. Kaita has to spend hours in front of a screen for a remote interview that takes five minutes on her side. This leads to Kaita replying "I don't do these interviews because I *have* to talk with you. I do them because I *want* to talk with you."
Hook/Attention-Grabber: The containment procedures state that the SCP is placed within the "non-social wing" of site seventeen, an area reserved for anomalies incapable of participating in normal social enrichment.
Additional Notes: The SCP is in her early 20s. Dr. Kaita is to take on an almost motherly role in the article. The SCP id contained within a SHACC with a modified dietary/day-night cycle. it also has a unique television fitted to play tapes at a low playback speed.
