You still have SCP-XXXX everywhere. You need to change them into the SCP number that you used or everyone will down vote your SCP.
Edit: Never mine. As soon as I was done typing all this out, it was all fixed.
Good job.

Your comment was literally 10 seconds after I had posted. But thank you.
There never was such a thing as absolute justice, but only agreements made in mutual dealings among men in whatever places at various times providing against the infliction or suffering of harm.

Well, here is the often rewritten and finally uploaded follow up to SCP-4612. Taken me the better part of 3 months to figure this out and I hope y’all like it.
This is a story about a man (sorta) who is very much alone and embittered against all of society for good reason, and instead of merely accepting his lot or taking up some ill-advised campaign of revenge, decides to make a society of his own. More importantly, it is about the hurdles one might face in creating a society all by one’s lonesome.

Also, it's probably obvious, but this article follows from SCP-4612
• Diego Marquez is a false identity and he has had contact with Dr. Iona Varga and the personnel of Site-91 before.
• Marquez is genuinely concerned for his congregation and wants to help them become more like him… but doesn’t quite see the disconnect between that caring and the results of his experiments.
• The entity which is seen towards the end of the article is the same species as the cadaver found in SCP-4612.
• Moreover, the entity and Marquez are NOT reality benders in anyway. They are operating under a system of thaumaturgy that has been hardwired into reality and doesn’t require rituals.
• This isn’t the last we’ll be seeing of these cultists or Mr. Marquez.

I was very happy to see how this one took shape over the last few weeks, and it's made enormous strides. The imagery is evocative, and Marquez is a compelling character. Nice work!
Thank you! Both for the compliment and for the two reads, your advice was very helpful.
There's some really good and cool lines in this. Of particular note
People with guns are so quick to threaten violence, as if you invented it.
this one. Each scene that takes place here is clear and communicates the atmosphere excellently. The one thing that I didn't care for is the excerpts of 5512-1. Not to say they don't have a place here, as they are clearly a component of the overall anomaly, but including these excerpts puts the brakes on the pacing. I don't find them particularly necessary to the story being told here.
All-in-all, this is a marvelous piece and worthy of a +1.
Thank you for the kind words, and the reasonable critique. I originally had personal logs from the POI revealing all his secrets… but MountainTimePunch pointed out that it took him out of it to think of a crazy alien immortal thing writing a diary…
So I thought maybe some of the propaganda to communicate world building things I wanted to include in 4612 but couldn't find a reasonable place for.
Anyway sorry for the long response, thanks for reading!
Good to see your article published. I'll wait for the return of the All-Mighty Marquez.
Amazing work!
+1
Very good read. Definitely has my +1. A small scientific critique is you should replace the uses of "genome" with "chromosome". Genome refers to all of an organism's genes. Chromosomes are the pairs of packaged DNA. From the context in the article, chromosome is the term you want.
Thank you! For the compliment and the edit, I will fix that
I liked the details in it. Very extensive and thought out.
Strangely enough I was more invested in how things seem to be coming together then the actual SCP, with the characters from the last two SCPs I read in the series. I also liked how you involved the UIU. Love those guys.
Anyways, take the +1 my man.
Reads like a better version of 5982. I'm a big fan of classic 70s cult horror, and this plays it in just the right ways to evoke like… the tone of classic Fifthism with its own breed of Weird. Good stuff.
Very interesting how this developed from 4612. A cult is a fairly understandable progression for Marquez/4612-B. I like that he feels changed compared to 4612 since it's been a while since the Eckhart incident. I also really like this cult; the way it operates is very interesting, just the right balance between 'this feels anomalous' and 'this feels like a normal New Age Religion'. The imagery of hands and the concept of the gossamel is really good as well. (Really good image too btw)
Overall, this is a really good skip and an excellent continuation to 4612. +1
