Thanks to Etoile, dave and jackalrelated for their valuable feedback!
That was a great gut punch at the end. Also, :( +1
This does absolutely nothing for me. This same type of punchline feels like it's been done better in a dozen other SCPs, and on top of that, it's about as subtle with its brand of misery as an orbital brick to the head. -1.
Thirding this. It's so unsubtle that it feels lazy - "hey, you know that relatable insecurity you have about the world? Here it is with an SCP number.
…That's it."
It's like the equivalent of writing up pop culture characters as SCPs but for emotions.
So, background people.
This is unpleasantly narcissistic and not in a way that really develops that as horror. -1
Instances of SCP-5190 will make little to no significant impact to the world outside them throughout their lives.
I knew exactly where this was going after this, and nothing along the way surprised or entertained me. The stinger was immensely predictable and didn't do anything for me because of that.
This was quite an entertaining read ngl. The concept about us forgetting other people is already quite an interesting and a mildly sad one, so this putting it into action is quite nice. I can definitely see where some are coming from in terms of the predictability of the plot, though for some weird reason I didn't spot the ending from a mile away tbh lol.
