Elevator Pitch:
The Children of the Labyrinthus
- There's an ancient and still-functioning spaceship called Labyrinthus lost in space.
- One day, the spaceship abducts children from their home to keep its systems from failing and becoming fully abandoned. 12 boys and 12 girls.
- These 24 children, confused, start to check around and get used to the new surroundings, with most of them trying to find a way home. Near-close deaths.
- After experimenting with the controls, they navigate to Earth.
- Their journey slowly changes all of them, as days become months and months become years. The children grew and had relationships.
- They manage to gain full control of the whole ship and was able to move past obstacles in their path, eg. the Kuiper Belt.
- Nearing Mars, the children are given a choice to leave the ship or stay. Most of them stay, the youngest wanting to leave.
- The communication system goes online and shows that the Earth has changed a lot. They also noticed they've changed a lot.
- As they were about to approach Earthspace, Foundation agents boarded the ship. Most of the kids kick them off via surprise.
- Near the moon, various Foundation messages have been sent trying to stop them from going closer.
- The ship concedes and activates a cloaking mechanism, surprising the Foundation.
- A negotiation is being made. The ship is hidden near Earth-space while people talk things through.
Central Narrative: The narrative focuses on the negotiation, and the Foundation's surprise of the Earth origin of the children crew, and the even greater surprise that the children haven't even fully unlocked the ship. The Foundation discussing what they should do, and the Children discussing on trusting the "Men in Black" that arrived.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: It's the first working spaceship in Earthspace idea, based on the tags alone. The children create a Peter Pan/Lord of the Flies scenario which the Foundation must carefully observe. The SCP will update periodically to show the events of the negotiation.
Additional Notes:
Athenodora helped me with this. The concept is divided into four parts: The SCP, The Negotiation, The Backstory, and the Finale. The SCP is the main SCP, the Negotiation is a part of the SCP + Tale in the Children's View, the Backstory is the Backstory of the spaceship Labyrinthus, and the Finale is the after-effect of the negotiation.
