Figured I might as well get this one out there. Took forever, but hey, I'm satisfied with the results.

The image I used was edited by myself, with the original image being here. Pixabay is copyleft, free use, and the like.

Thanks to Dr Moned for helping me flesh out the idea in IRC! Thanks to HammerMaiden, JakdragonX, and JustBixby for critting my longest skip yet! I'm probably missing a few other people, so, thanks to all of you guys as well.

Finally, thanks to you readers for allowing me to bask in the glory of effort not spent in vain!

I don't get it. There's something about maintaining the strength of reality, by sucking raw reality out of another universe, like a huge SRA? And our own SRAs are using up its power? I dunno, that's about all I was able to understand.

But. I was enraptured the whole time. +1

I'm feeling a heavy novote because this sets out to be a universal SCP-2000, and does it well, but it's crippled by an absence of character. Calden is obviously in the spotlight but I never get a sense for who they are beyond the circumstances they're thrust into.

Also I'm not sure fragment pages are meant to be used like that; you may want to use a ListPages module to display them as offsets or make them supplement pages.

i found a few weird grammatical errors and i'm not sure if they were tone-intentional or not.

Phase 3:
SCP-5103’s primary temporal compression mechanism is activated, it cannot be stopped for a seemingly random duration.

this sentence doesn't parse correctly. possible missing word?

Of particular note is the apparent presence of “pattern screamers”, first identified by personnel assigned to SCP-3930.

this needs a crosslink.

-Conduct research to identify SCP-5103's energy source

i feel like that the content of the third bullet should be at the end of the second bullet.

Junior Researcher Vera Calden was presently supervising during the initial exploration,

that should be "present supervising" if i'm not mistaken.

I supposes it is quite agonizing to trapped between dead realities,

that should probably just be "suppose".

none of this takes away from the article as a whole, of course. absolute +1.

I really loved this one! It's very complex and easy to understand at the same time! The idea that a machine creates the universe in which we are is both cool and creepy. I think its perfect as it is. It's a +1 for me!

I love the concept here, and the conprocs and description set a really amazing tone and sense of suspense, you can't help but feel like this is something big. Those factors did lead to me giving an upvote.

However, I'm left slightly underwhelmed. Nagiros covered this in vis post above, but Calden doesn't get the attention they should, so their eternal cycle of falling into broken reality doesn't work in the same way that Scranton's torment in SCP-3001 does (which I'm assuming was an inspiration for this one).

It also feels like the revelation of this device using dying universes and the fact that the 'Void' is just moving through all of them one at a time is revealed too quickly, or at least not given enough of a reveal. I could see a much more subtle slow burn approach with bigger implications working very well here.

Once again, I think this idea has amazing potential, and would love to see it expanded or touched up slightly, as a few changes could elevate this thing to the grand nature it seems to be aiming for.
