This is really fun, it feels like Rimworld turned into an SCP. On that note though, I kinda wish that the gamey-ness of it was fleshed out a bit more. My favorite part was definitely the person that got designated as food, but I wish there was more of that kind of thing going on with this. I also find the characterization of the player a bit strange. I can’t tell if he is just a complete asshole before this that develops a god complex the instant he got power or if the anomaly caused this in him. Not liking his job just doesn’t feel like strong enough motivation for him to become this much of a monster.
Overall though I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it makes me very excited for more Arcadia stuff. +1
I agree that not liking your job would be enough to drive someone into a pure God Complex that quickly, but if you pay attention do what the conversation held, he also was probably single, probably lived alone, and felt his life was going nowhere, and he had no idea how to fix it. He probably was a giant asshole before this, but it seems like he was painfully unhappy with his life, what with the mention of his friend hugging his kids.

This is. brilliant. It probably has a Bland Generic name, too, rather than an SCP initialism. Don't want a neon sign on something sneaky and clever like this.
…crap, they're gonna have to send in the cyborgs, aren't they? The Scrubs might work better under the circumstances, but they won't go against human targets.
Hmm, the writing in the first half of the article feels different in tone/style than the second part. Not sure how to put my finger on it, but how the first part reads feels different than the second. This threw off the pacing, but the narrative of the second half caught my attention nicely. Good dialogue and pacing, and even if I saw the ending coming, it was a nice addition. Overall, +1
Initially, my only issue was the confusing, I initially figured mistaken uses of the subjects 4 and 5 use from what til then was solitary convo on 1 and 2 before 1 reclassified 2 as foodstuffs.
Then like ten minutes later after I thought I'd mostly stopped thinking about the article, I all of a sudden finally got it lol
So, now I'm down to literally no issues. Great story, great writing
Maybe it's me (it probably is, really), but I only half-get the image at the end behind the Clearance Warning. I dig what it implies, but I don't actually understand what the image is, visually speaking (obviously i understand the text part.). Halp?
+1 despite that. I like Arcadia.
