I found the main description to be a little repetitive, with every paragraph being structured the same way. “The SCP-2454 instance has x property with y follow-up to x”. Not a deal breaker but it didn’t flow well and took me out of the piece. The interview, while not badly written, makes the piece go from a little clunky to outright boring by explaining everything.
It’s unfortunate because the interview subject is clearly a character you put work into characterizing but he’s got nothing of substance to say beyond answering every question that the reader might be left wondering about.
There’s room for more than one magic axolotl on the site but SCP-1371 does the same concept so much better by keeping it brief and letting the reader leave wondering rather than unsatisfied. Less is more, in this case.
