There is no need to reference 173 in this article. The idea is interesting, but needs a bit of fleshing out.

This sounds quite a bit like SCP-435.
Also, check articles that you're going to reference carefully before referencing or using them. The addendum for SCP-148 nearest the bottom of the page explicitly states that further use of telekill is prohibited, especially at a large scale (like coating the walls, ceiling, and floor of an entire room).
Does this object contain a subtle reference to MS Paint Adventures?
Ha ha!
I had recently discovered MSPA when I wrote this one, so although the reference was not concious, I'm not going to deny that it might exist.
Good catch. I suppose this would be the type of thing to turn into lipstick when you need a chainsaw.
You'd think certain people at the Foundation would be thrilled to find 523 had changed into the Sun… It'd make it a lot easier to throw things into it.
So uh, upon rereading this, I noticed the article refers to the water-to-gas change as having a change in color. Gas is clear, for the record. I think. Everytime I've seen it it's been clear.
You realize that there's more than one kind of gas, right?
This made me paranoid of inanimate objects. You, sir, are an artist.
The only thing: The Note for the last test log has that one section about the end-of-the-world scenario that is almost word-for-word for what is in the Special Containment Procedures. It just doesn't seem like they should appear so identical. But maybe that's just me.
"I grabbed an ice cube to put in my drink, but then it was actually the sun."
"I grabbed a tissue to clean up after a w@nk, but then it was actually sandpaper."
"I'm a masochist. I grabbed some sandpaper to clean up after a w@nk, but then it was actually a tissue."
"I'm a janitor. I grabbed a mop to clean up a spill of SCP-447, but then it was actually a dead body."
SCP-173 broke out. I grabbed a D-class to help stare at it, but it was actually a light switch
D-class personnel are not inanimate objects. Also, why would SCP-523 expect you to flick a switch when it's original disguise is not something useful when flicked?
How about
"I grabbed a mirror to make the scp stare at itself but it was actually the chain for the room's light"?
Ignoring my objection about inanimate objects
I was infected with SCP-008. I grabbed a pill from SCP-500, but it was actually SCP-049.
I went to feed my pet gecko and got mauled by SCP-682
I know a lot of people dislike humorous addenda, but the last sentence really made this one for me.
