Scorpion451's SCP Art

Decided to share some SCP related stuff I make for my daily warmups or just for fun.
I do mostly high realism and concept art type stuff, but I also love doing semi-realist comic-book type art (I favor the American Penciled or Inked European styles).

Here's one I did during some downtime yesterday and today.

Just a quick and dirty speedpaint, but I kind of like how it came out- Might have to take this one to a full workup and reupload.

This is roughly how I always picture SCP-682's default state; I'd be interested to hear how it compares to other people's mental images. ^_^

Feel free to leave requests, by the way- I'll see what I can get to as time and the fickle inspiration fairies allow!

Its kind of weird, working on the aerial view made me realize both how small and how freaking huge SCP-1585 is. It'd be hard to get lost on it, but there's plenty of room for a whole bunch of critters. Its bigger than some of the inhabited islands of Micronesia.

This time we have SCP-748-5: The Factory's Workers

Data recovered from on-site communictions network Black Box, former Site 68
Agent Farlow: Uh, HQ? Doing my rounds down here on the Production floor, and I think some of the machinery just started back up.
Assistant Director of Security Phillips: Agent, I'm not sure I copy, please repeat?
Agent Farlow: This is Agent Farlow, patrolling the Production floor. I definitely have operational machiner-
[distant clatter followed by rapid series of modulating tones]
Agent Farlow: …the hell?
ADS Phillips: Report, agent. Whats going on down there?
Agent Farlow: HQ, I've got movement down here other than the machinery.Think we've got intruders. Moving in to check it out.
ADS Phillips: Recon only. Do not confront. I'm sending in backup.
[Sounds of rapid heavy impacts on metal interspersed with rapidly modulated tones]
Agent Farlow: Shit. Might be looking at a raid here… like COBG or something, 'cause I don't think these guys are human. Pretty sure one of 'em just cleared a twenty foot gap in the catwalks.
ADS Phillips: Agent, withdraw to the stairwell and wait for backup.
Agent Farlow: Just a sec- one of 'ems holding still. Doing something with one of the control banks. Think I can get a better look…
[Nearby heavy impact followed by sustained high pitched squeal]
Agent Farlow: Confirming non-human.
[sustained high pitch squeal interspersed with screaming and rapid modulating tones]

Still not back yet, but I just wanted to say 1) this is metal as fuck, please keep doing what you do, and 2) can I make a request at a later date? Possibly with a small amount of dollars attached?

The 2nd annual March Madness Showdown has me all excited, so I decided that I'm going to try to do some speedpaints, concept workups or full paintings of as many of the entrants as I can over the next couple weeks.

So far I've finished one of my top picks, SCP-466, and the first entrant, SCP-2490:

Whoa, that SCP-2490 looks absolutely gorgeous. Although the feet and hands are supposed to be a bit more round, those are minor quibbles compared to the overall quality of the interpretation. You've made 2490 way creepier than I could - your pictures really are worth a thousand words.

2490 was a really interesting design exercise for me, one of the things I love about doing this sort of thing.

Went with this version of the hands for clarity, but you'd probably like another variant I sketched; that one had round balls for hands with a tri-point claw formerly known as "three screwdrivers and some brackets they bought at the hardware store". Liked it myself, but no way was it going to look like anything but a bunch of scribbles before my speedpaint timer ran out. X3

I probably would have liked that variant - it sounds closer to my original vision (but this is still a great piece). By the way, I was hoping that you might be interested in painting the members of MTF Tau-5 "Samsara" equipped with their paratech.
